Individual Therapy

I specialize in therapy focused on self acceptance for queer LGBTQIA+ folks, folks in larger bodies, and folks with neurodivergence.

This includes building a kind inner parent voice (also called self compassion), learning to externalize shame, healing disordered eating and body disconnection, and healing codependency in order to get better connected to yourself.

Using eclectic techniques, I work with individuals to deepen their relationships with themselves and their communities. I assist clients with centering themselves in their values and softening their inner critic so they can live more aligned with their core selves. Using self-compassion, traditional CBT and ACT, and somatic practices, I help clients reconnect with themselves and re-parent themselves. I help clients learn to replace shaming cognitive patterns with messages of validation and comfort. I coach folks on recovering from eating disorders, managing anxiety, living with neurodivergence, setting boundaries, and developing self-worth.

Fee:

My full fee is $200. I do provide superbills to assist clients with insurance reimbursement, but I do not take insurance directly.

Disordered Eating

  • I work regularly with clients who have a history of eating disorders, chronic dieting, and body dissatisfaction. I also work with clients who are in eating disorder recovery and I am happy to collaborate with dieticians and physicians as part of an ED recovery team.

  • Sessions often include: Education on Intuitive Eating and the Health at Every Size model; Critiques of diet culture; Exploration of other forms of restriction/binging that shows up in your life; Your body story and history of body disconnection; Somatic practices to reconnect to your body; Self compassion coaching; and Learning/practicing other forms of anxiety management, enjoyment, or comfort.

  • The goals are to have more peace with eating, more connection with your body, and less shame around movement. Ultimately, I work towards helping you feel more compassion and acceptance of yourself and your body.
